Braidwood Lake is a 2640 acre cooling lake located 0.4 miles East of Route 113.  Turn right on Cemetery Rd. (Comet Dr.), 1.2 miles ahead at the end of the road.  Braidwood Lake is home to local Fishing Tournaments.

Mazonia-Braidwood state fish and wildlife area located off of route 53 this park has more than 200 impoundments ranging ¾ to 30 acres in size. If you enjoy catching large mouth bass, small mouth bass, bluegill, green sunfish, crappie, channel catfish and bullheads then you will love this park.

Museum

Formed in 1955 as the Braidwood History Bureau, the Braidwood Historical Society currently operates the Braidwood Museum from within a renovated Historic Train Depot.  Enjoy a tour through Braidwood’s rich history, as well as artifacts from Braidwood and neighboring areas. The Museum averages over 500 visitors per year, with 84 active members.  The museum is open year-round from 12pm to 3pm on Saturdays and 12pm to 3pm on Sundays from April through September.
